As advertised, your initial consultation with Diamond and Diamond Lawyers is FREE. There is no obligation to sign up or retain our firm. We aim to be as transparent and upfront as possible about our fee structure.
In personal injury, we work strictly on contingency, which means we only take a percentage of the settlement when we settle the case. The amount of fees will vary depending on the severity of the case. In many cases, we discount our fees for more serious cases. The smaller cases will attract no discount as they take a fair amount of work and garner very little in the way fees. In accordance with Law Society requirements, our contingency fees can vary based on the severity of your injuries, Diamond and Diamond Lawyers will not charge more than 33% plus HST and Disbursements.*
Graduated Contingency Fees
We settle your accident benefits claim | The fee will be 33% + HST (inclusive of costs) |
We settle your tort case anytime before issuing a claim | The fee will be 30% + HST (inclusive of costs) |
We settle your tort case anytime before pretrial/ settlement conference but before any hearings | The fee will be 33% + HST (inclusive of costs) |
We settle your tort case anytime after start of a hearing up to or after an order/award from an appeal court/ tribunal | The fee will be 33% + HST plus costs awarded as referred to in s.7 (extra charges if the case goes through a hearing) |

How long will it take to get my settlement cheque?
After accepting an offer of settlement for a personal injury claim, you will usually receive your employer’s compensation money for your injuries within 14-28 days from the date of settlement.
