Diamond and Diamond Lawyers Recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada 2026

Two members of the Diamond and Diamond team have earned recognition in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers, one of the legal profession’s most respected peer-reviewed guides.

Recognition in Best Lawyers is determined entirely through a confidential survey of practising lawyers, who evaluate the professional abilities of their peers in the same practice areas and regions. Because the honour comes from other lawyers rather than from paid submissions, inclusion is widely regarded as a meaningful mark of professional standing. This year, two Diamond and Diamond lawyers have been named.

Ronald D. Davis โ€” The Best Lawyers in Canada 2026

Recognized for Privacy and Data Security Law

Ronald Davis, Senior Counsel for Class Actions at Diamond and Diamond, has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada 2026 for his work in Privacy and Data Security Law. Called to the Ontario Bar in 1984, Ronald brings more than four decades of litigation experience to the firm, with a practice that spans class actions, commercial disputes, and privacy and cybersecurity matters.

His connection to technology runs deep. Ronald cofounded and ran a digital forensics company, has written extensively on cybersecurity and blockchain, and holds a Ph.D. in French linguistics from the University of Toronto. His experience at the intersection of law and technology continues to inform his work as data privacy and security questions become central to Canadian litigation. JEREMY M. SYRTASH2026

Jeremy M. Syrtash, who leads medical malpractice litigation at Diamond and Diamond, has been named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada 2026. The Ones to Watch designation highlights lawyers who are earlier in their careers and who have earned recognition from their peers for outstanding professional work.

Called to the Ontario Bar in 2014, Jeremy has spent more than a decade as co-counsel on medical malpractice trials across the country, with a practice focused on pediatric negligence, obstetrical malpractice, and wrongful death claims against health-care providers. His earlier work as a personal support worker continues to shape his advocacy for people with disabilities, and he lectures regularly on health law to both legal and medical audiences. Recognition from fellow lawyers reflects the standard of work that Diamond and Diamond aims to bring to every client. We congratulate Ronald and Jeremy on this well-earned recognition, and we thank the clients and colleagues who make this work possible.
