About the Division

A Division Built for the Courtroom.

Most personal injury claims resolve before trial. But when an insurer digs in, when liability is contested, or when the offer on the table doesn't come close to covering a client's losses, the case needs lawyers who are ready to walk into court and stand the file up in front of a judge or jury.

That is what Diamond and Diamond's Trial Lawyers Division does. Led by Jillian Carrington, the team brings together partners and senior lawyers with deep advocacy experience across the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal, the License Appeal Tribunal, and the full range of injury-related forums. Every lawyer on this page has stood up in a Canadian courtroom on behalf of plaintiffs.

The Trial Lawyers Division works alongside Diamond and Diamond's intake, accident benefits, and settlement teams, ready to step in the moment a case needs to escalate. Clients keep the same firm. The file changes hands. The strategy shifts to trial.

Meet the Trial Lawyers.

Six lawyers. Decades of combined courtroom experience. Personal injury, civil litigation, and complex insurance disputes — all argued on behalf of injured Canadians.

Why Clients Want a Trial Lawyer on the File.

Insurance carriers track which firms actually take cases to court. A file held by a trial lawyer changes the math of every settlement conversation — and gives the client the option to keep fighting if the right number doesn't show up.

01

Real Courtroom Hours

Every lawyer in this Division has stood up in a Canadian courtroom on behalf of injured plaintiffs — not just argued from the desk.

02

Plaintiff-Side Only

The Trial Lawyers Division acts for injured people. No carrier-side work, no conflicts.

03

Across Ontario

From Toronto to Sudbury, London to Ottawa, the team appears in courts and tribunals across the province.

04

One Firm, Start to Verdict

Clients keep the same firm from intake through trial. Files escalate inside Diamond and Diamond, not out the door.
