About Roland Acheson

Roland was a member of the inaugural partnership between Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Sussex, where he completed his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law.

After completing his law degree, Roland articled at a criminal defence firm in London, Ontario. Once he was called to the bar in 2023, Roland continued his advocacy by successfully arguing bail hearings, Charter applications, and criminal trials in both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. In 2026, he argued and won his first jury trial.

Roland’s experience in criminal defence allowed him to assist hundreds of clients with unique backgrounds. He entered into this profession with the goal of helping those who need it the most. He has successfully advocated on behalf of vulnerable clients facing serious legal challenges. He’s now practicing here at Diamond & Diamond and is committed to helping injured individuals pursue fair compensation and access to justice.

Outside of work Roland enjoys hiking, fitness, and hockey. He is also an avid podcast listener passionate about music, politics and nature.
