First Annual Safety Day

My incredible Aunt Terry who follows my column religiously pointed out an obvious flaw in my last column. I ranted and raved about our upcoming Safety Day yet negligently forgot the date. More than a minor mistake but that’s okay, I’ll make it up today.

We are hosting our first annual safety day SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 7, 2013, at Edithvale Park. The park is close to Yonge and Finch. Get your kids back to school with street smarts!

The event will take place between 1-3 p.m. Diamond and Diamond is providing passports to all the children. They can use these and walk around to the exhibits and get a sticker.

We have buskers and entertainment galore. The Ontario Safety League is giving out free bike helmets. The food is being provided by Paramount Fine FoodsChildventures Early Learning Academy is putting on a yoga demonstration and giving out fingerprinting kits. St. John Ambulance, Police and fire will be on scene giving out information packets. The day will be really fun and informative.

Once again, the event is Saturday, September 7, 2013 between 1-3 p.m. at Edithvale Park. Sorry Aunt Terry, I’ll be more careful in the future.
